Job description:
Our client, a leading Global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions are looking to employ a temporary Warehouse Operative based in Colnbrook for 6 months.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within the industry and the desire to provide quality service at all times.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Have previous manual handling experience.
- Be able to work in a physical demanding environment
- Have the ability to carry out manual handling duties.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be a good team player.
- Be flexible, friendly and enthusiastic attitude required.
- Have the ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
- A driving license would be preferable but is not essential
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unload parcels weighing up to 30 kg from vehicles maintaining a high activity level whilst using safe working methods.
- Accurately load parcels weighing up to 30 kg on vehicles ensuring maximum utilization of space and proper securing of load
- Off load parcels and sort correctly to the different airlines.
- Work to strict time deadlines to ensure all parcels are dispatched on time.
- Ensure that packages are correctly handled and stored to avoid damage.
- Comply with Company and Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Undertake other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager
Working hours are Tuesday to Sunday 7am to 3pm
In return our client offers a Salary of circa £16,000 - £18,000 dependent on experience, plus generous holiday entitlement and other benefits you would expect from a Global company.
