CAE Ventilation Services Northern have been established for 22 years. We design, manufacture and install Ventilation Ductwork Systems across the UK, with a strong focus on the NW. As a result of organisational growth, and an exceptional order book, we are looking for an Engineers Assistant to join our ductwork team.

We have won many large contracts and are undergoing unprecedented growth, and we are looking for an Engineers Assistant to join our team and grow with the company. The main purpose of your role will see you assisting the Engineers with carrying out site installation of ductwork. Ensuring that all assemblies are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Good knowledge of site work desired within the ductwork industry is desired, but training is provided, so will look at alternative backgrounds if attitude and work ethic are right.

We are extremely busy, therefore there is a need to work overtime to satisfy the needs of the business. You can achieve well above your basic salary.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Be physically fit to install ductwork Ventilation systems
  • Ensure installations are carried out to a high standard
  • Maintain a good knowledge of site conduct and communication with clients.
  • Ensure that the working area is a safe and clean environment and in compliance with RAMS and health & safety policies
  • Assist workshop colleagues with engineering manufacturing when required.
  • Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day to day activities and procedures within the specified role
  • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines in order to sustain current level of business
  • A good attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring quality of workmanship
  • Act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven ability in a relevant installations role
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
  • CSCS skills card (non-essential, can be provided on successful employment)
  • IPAF licence (non-essential, can be provided on successful employment)
  • PASMA licence (non-essential, can be provided on successful employment)
  • A will do attitude and appetite for travel and overtime
  • Good communication skills
  • Clean DBS check
